How to use the result

Pace is a budget, not a promise.

Start with an achievable finish time. Use the per-mile or per-kilometer target for steady sections, then compare actual checkpoints rather than reacting to one fast opening split.

For common targets without entering a time, open the running pace chart. For hybrid events, keep work stations and transitions separate from running time.

The calculation

Finish time divided by distance.

The calculator converts the selected race distance to miles and kilometres, then divides total goal seconds by each distance. Checkpoints use the same even elapsed pace. They are useful for planning and comparison, but do not account for terrain, weather, congestion, aid stations or fatigue.

Use a distance-specific page when you want a focused table: 5K, 10K, half marathon or marathon.
