How to use this
Pick a target, then budget it.
A median is the middle finisher: half the field is faster. For a first race, a time near the median for your division and age is a realistic goal if you already run comfortably; the fastest 10% needs a strong running base and trained stations.
Turn your target into a segment-by-segment plan with the Hyrox pace calculator, and check what you will be lifting on the Hyrox weights page.
Why sources differ slightly: RoxHype counts 2025/26 finishes only and removes groups under 150 finishers; NORMA pools 2024/25 and 2025/26 and counts results rather than people. Medians, not means, are used throughout.
Questions
Hyrox average time FAQ
What is the average Hyrox finish time?
Using the median (the middle finisher), an analysis of 709,816 public finishes from the 2025/26 season (RoxHype) puts Open Men at 1:27:49 and Open Women at 1:36:08. NORMA Athletics, analysing official results from the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, gets 1:27:16 and 1:35:22. Means are a few minutes slower than medians because of a long slow tail.
What is a good Hyrox time?
For Open Men, finishing under 1:10:11 puts you in the fastest 10%, and 1:27:49 is the typical finish. For Open Women the fastest 10% finish under 1:18:08 and the typical finish is 1:36:08. The slowest 10% take longer than 1:57:37 (men) and 2:07:26 (women).
What is a good Hyrox time for my age?
Open Men are fastest at ages 25 to 29 (median 1:25:19) and slow gradually: 1:29:17 at 40 to 44 and 1:40:52 at 60 to 64. Open Women's median is 1:34:26 at 25 to 29, 1:36:53 at 40 to 44 and 1:45:47 at 60 to 64.
How fast are Hyrox doubles times?
Doubles team medians in the 2025/26 season were 1:16:16 for Doubles Men, 1:28:16 for Doubles Women and 1:23:06 for Doubles Mixed. Partners share the station work, so team times are well below singles times.
How much of a Hyrox race is running?
NORMA Athletics' Open medians are 41:31 of running, 37:45 on stations and 7:15 in the Roxzone for men, and 46:29, 40:31 and 7:50 for women. Medians are computed separately, so they do not add up exactly to the finish median.
Does HYROX publish an official average time?
We did not find an official average-time table from HYROX. Individual results are public on the official results site, and the figures on this page come from independent analyses of those results, which differ slightly in method and sample.
